Nigerian artists no longer value the power of good lyrics they all want to sing the rubbish and make money.
Gone are those days when musicians values lyrics, when you listen to Fela, 2face, Barrister, Ebenezer obey, and so on. Compare to the likes of Slimcase, Zlatan, Small Doctor, ViC O and so on, but they are making money and it all that matters to them.
One popular artist once said in one of his music lyrics that; Ma ko le, Ma ra ile! (I will build a house then buy land), Do we have to remind him that you have to buy the land first before you build a house? we have a bunch of these artists who sing rubbish but nevertheless, we still have few of them who still make sense with their lyrics.
